The
UGC-Infonet programme is a joint venture
undertaken by UGC and INFLIBNET Centre,
Ahmedabad to promote electronic information
resource sharing activity among major
University Libraries in the country. The
Kuvempu University has signed MOU for
UGC-Infonet Programme with UGC-INFLIBNET on
16-12-2002. As per the MOU, the physical
connection was already established by ERNET-India,
New Delhi with a 128 Kbps Broadband VSAT on
that is upgraded to 256 Kbps and then to 2
MB leased line during July,2008. Further,
the Inflibnet Centre has upgraded the leased
line connectivity to 10 MB during
April,2010.
Under the UGC-Infonet e-resource
consortia programme this university
library is providing e-journals service to
its users through different approach viz.,
Alphabetic-wise, Subject-wise and pulisher-wise. |
