The UGC-Infonet programme is a joint venture undertaken by UGC and INFLIBNET Centre, Ahmedabad to promote electronic information resource sharing activity among major University Libraries in the country. The Kuvempu University has signed MOU for UGC-Infonet Programme with UGC-INFLIBNET on 16-12-2002. As per the MOU, the physical connection was already established by ERNET-India, New Delhi with a 128 Kbps Broadband VSAT on that is  upgraded to 256 Kbps. Further, it is upgaded to 2 MB leased line during July,2008. The Electronic resource distribution is being made by INFLIBNET Centre to the Universities  through  the  exclusive  network established  and  maintained  by ERNET - India.
              Under the UGC-Infonet e-resource consortia  programme  this university  library  is  providing e-journals service to its users through different approach viz., Alphabetic-wise, Subject-wise and pulisher-wise.
